Why is identity such a big deal?

Recently, several of our youth and a few adults spent a week at leadership camp where they added some depth to the identity truth that Bob Warren taught us so well.

What you do is not who you are,
but who you are has a tremendous impact on what you do.
-- Bob Warren

Here is some of the additional insight from Tony Jones as he loves and guides his students through tough times knowing that their identity is under attack:
  • What you have done to others is not who you are.
  • What others have done to you is not who you are.
  • What you fear that others might do to you is not who you are.
  • What you think is not who you are.
  • What you say is not who you are.

If you struggle with any other identity than the new creation in Christ that Paul speaks of in the new testament, then we would love to talk with you about the joy in our identity in Christ.

Join us this Sunday at 10:00 AM for worship and teaching!

Evangelicals in France

Hey guys,

Someone sent me this article today and I wanted to share the link. It has some good information and helps give a decent basic understanding of Christianity today in France.

What Nobody is Saying About France

The author makes a few rose-colored statements that I'm not sure he really looked into (like "Luis Palau held a wildly successful series of evangelistic meetings on a public beach in Marseille last year"... I was there, it was one of the biggest event flops I've ever seen; did some good things behind the scenes, connecting a few local pastors better, but wildly successful it was not), but the general work of the article gives a good picture of where France has been and is now.

Take a read, and please pray!
